Barcelona! Barcelona! A city that never sleeps (well only maybe during siesta). A lot to do, a lot to see, but where to start?

Of course the starting point for many are the works of Antoni Gaudi: Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo, Casa Mila and Park Guell. The legacy of the master of Catalan modernism, that was brought by industrial revolution in Barcelona. Gaudí's works show his highly individual and distinctive style, you will not see anywhere else but Barcelona.

 

FC Barcelona is another a must! Camp Nou the biggest stadium in Europe, is a temple for many football lovers. Even if you think you are not a big football fan, you will still enjoy the incredible atmosphere this place holds; and a Camp Nou museum is a real attraction too.

Apart from doing standard sightseeing, in Barcelona it is worth just to get lost in one of the barrios (neighborhoods). Starting with Gotico, where you will see a lot of beautiful gothic little streets and buildings, moving on to L´Eixample: the new city center, the heart of modernist architecture. Make sure to check out Gracia, and Barceloneta for a more intimate feel.

Don´t forget about the most important sightseeing of Barcelona, that is just outside the city. Montserrat, one hour drive from Barcelona city center, will prove worth once you get on the top of the mountain, where spirituality so tightly binds with splendid nature.

And of course, being in the rich wine and cava region, visit one of the wineries on the way back from Montserrat. Wine tasting tours are becoming widely popular in this region, so you wont have to look too long for a good wine tour or a winery, if you are more an independent tourist.
