Interested in a full experience to escape the busy city? Then you made the right choice! This is a full-day excursion around the Catalan culture! Your day will start with the perfect dose of Barcelona’s history to get you situated before your arrival in Montserrat Mountain. Once there, you will explore the whole Abbey and the famous Basilica by the hand of one of our passionate guides. We wanted our original tour to come with a personal feeling; that’s why we keep our groups small and our guides local! You will have the time to explore the scenery both with your guide and by yourself in your free time. From a little hike to St. Michael's Cross to the Boy's Choir performance, the options are many on this very special piece of the mountain that feels like our second home (tickets and availability for some activities must be checked at Montserrat's website).
Our last stop will be a visit to a family-owned traditional Catalan castle-winery that belongs to the same family since the day it was built back in 964AD! This 10th-century gem is only open to us under the promise of keeping our tours completely sustainable, just like their eco-friendly wine production! There you will experience Spanish traditions like a multi-course meal made from regional ingredients, a tour of the estate, and, needless to say, a tasting of three distinct D.P. Pla de Bages wines.
Don't know which option to choose? The only question you need to ask yourself when deciding is whether you prefer to have two and a half hours of free time in Montserrat (departure option at 8:45) or if you'd rather sacrifice one hour of free time in exchange for some extra sleep and enjoying the scenic views with the Cogwheel Train (departure option at 9:45). There's no wrong answer!

- *Please note that l’Escolania does not sing on Saturdays, school holidays and several dates throughout the year. Contact us beforehand in case this aspect is crucial for you.

- Meeting point is Castlexperience Office (1st Floor - Section B - Ticket office A, B or C). Estación de autobuses Barcelona Nord (North Bus Station). Carrer de Nàpols 68 (5 min from Arc de Triomf). You must check-in the first floor before going to the buses area (Ground floor).
- Please be at the meeting point at least 20 minutes before the start of the tour.
- Once at the meeting point, please look for the pink offfice with the Castlexperience logo.
- All tours depart on time to avoid delays. Please note that late arrivals or no shows may be rescheduled, but not refunded.
- There is a limit of 20 people per group.
- Transportation will be shared with other groups.

- Comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended as there is some walking involved.
- Temperatures at Montserrat and the winery tend to be more extreme than in Barcelona. Please check the weather forecast the day before and dress accordingly. We advise bringing water, especially in the summer season.
- Infants aged 3 or less may join the tour free of charge but note that no car seat or meals are provided.
- All dietary allergies or restrictions are catered for.
